Chapin School has announced a major initiative to fund renovation and new construction at its campus in Princeton as well as provide endowment growth. Headmaster Richard Johnson recently announced the $8 million capital campaign.

“This is a thrilling moment in the school’s history because this ambitious Capital Campaign will significantly enhance the Chapin educational experience for the students of today and the children of tomorrow,” said Mr. Johnson.

“Limitless Futures: Investing in the Children of Chapin” will support a Lower School addition with new classrooms, a technology center, library and science labs and a commons area. Construction will begin in early fall. Facility renovations will begin in June and involve new siding, insulation, windows, heating, air conditioning and roofing. All new facilities will be designed and constructed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design silver standards in order to make the campus more sustainable. Endowment funds will benefit faculty salaries and professional development as well as financial aid.

Chapin parents Dina and Paul Brewer serve as campaign chairs.
