District Honored For Language Program

West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District received the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Melba D. Woodruff Award for Exemplary Elementary Foreign Language Programs. This honor attests to the school district’s program for elementary students and recognition by the language profession of its commitment to language education. The district was honored at the annual convention with a plaque signifying the award along with $500.

World language teachers in the district include Edgar Cano, Spanish, Millstone River; Leniz Camacho, Spanish, Village and Millstone River; William Sanchez, Spanish, Maurice Hawk; Stephanie Cano, Spanish, Town Center; Ashley Warren, Spanish, Millstone River; Pamela Ronen, Spanish, Town Center and Wicoff ; Dolores McNamara, Spanish, Dutch Neck and Maurice Hawk; JoAnn Sanchis, Spanish, Village; Jume Shen, Chinese, Millstone River; and Dan Siegel, Spanish, Dutch Neck.
