Career plans: Software engineer at a FAANG company

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? While senior year still hasn’t been completely normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was definitely an improvement from last year. I am happy that I was able to meet some of my classmates at cross country, track, and prom.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? It wasn’t the best. Not seeing friends as often and not experiencing all the events we would normally have definitely sucked, and I lost a lot of motivation to do schoolwork, but I managed to pull through, it all and I feel like I’ve become a much stronger person than I was a year ago.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? Experiencing my senior year at the tail of the pandemic was interesting. While I enjoyed waking up later and shorter school days, isolation from my friends and peers was not a fun time. I am grateful that I got closer to the people whom I care about the most, even if some of them were physically far away. .

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? When we first got out in March, I didn’t expect that I’d want to return so badly. Hybrid learning wasn’t too bad but it’s a shame high school had to end like this.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? It felt a bit boring. I wasn’t able to see most of my classmates for a good portion of the year, and we still have shortened days every day. I am grateful though that we had prom, sports, and that we’ll be able to go on our senior trip and have graduation.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? The pandemic taught me a lot. The most important lesson was that you can’t expect something to happen just because it did in the past. You can either sit at home with your fingers crossed and cry about it or you can stand up, get dressed and make it happen.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? It was not ideal. I had to learn how to adapt to a new way of life.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? After being separated for so long, I feel that it allowed us to really appreciate every moment as our time together comes to an end.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? When the pandemic first began, I never thought that it would continue through my senior year, but I personally made the best out of it. I continued to stay focused on academics while still making the most out of my senior year.

What was it like to experience your senior year at the tail end of a pandemic? It was rough missing out on a lot of the experiences I was already set to have. Without many capabilities to talk with friends that I used to see in school I’m glad that there was still a functioning band program and good grades to keep me motivated.
